Tucked away in a narrow alley in the old town of Kaleici, Mehmet has been serving dishes based on his grandmother's recipes since 1987. No tourist menu with pictures, no 12-language menu - but the best manti in the province of Antalya and an aubergine imam bayildi that melts in the mouth. Its location in Hesapci Sokak makes it the perfect stop after a stroll through the old harbour or before sunset on the cliffs.

Order the dish of the day (Gunun Yemegi) - it costs around 30% less than the main dishes on the menu and is always what Mehmet has brought from the market in the morning. Booking via WhatsApp is recommended at the weekend, as the restaurant only has 8 tables.
